Designing Hands

Singer-songwriter, Danny Sherwood, commissioned me to design the covers for his EP Hands.  I connected with the narrative in his songs, which seem to provide honest glimpses into moments of life.  Consequently, I strove to imbue the covers with a sense of narrative by capturing a snapshot Danny’s life that may intrigue.  

As Danny's music is acoustic and earthy, we were both keen, that covers not rely just on digital production methods - something physical, natural and genuine was needed, hence using kindling to spell the EP title while Danny warms his hands on the fire.  If you look closely, you can spot the other members of his band as well.
